New in 2009, with lots of south-facing glass, this cabin has airy living and open porch. The large garage has plenty of room for bikes or car with equipment. Across the road from the creekside pavilion and fire pit area.

Big Snowbird Creek trout fisihing access

The paved road is very lightly travelled and was once a logging railroad into the Snowbird Backcountry. State maintenance ends 2 miles up the road at the Nantahala National Forest boundary, where two hiking trails lead to a network of trails featuring waterfalls, backcountry campsites and meadows. At higher, elevations you might see blue boar and black bear, turkeys and other critters.

Snowbird creeks are stocked with trout most of the year.

Enjoy the sun as it passes over, from the porch or the pavilion, in a chair sipping your favorite drinks overlooking the noisy creek, while you tend to your barbecue on the grill with friends and family...or fish...or hunt..or hike...or ride...whatever is your pleasure.

THERE IS NO PLACE AROUND LIKE THIS - so remote, yet on a paved road, trailer parking, and backcountry access and well equipped. You can host a group picnic here!

This is premium construction with composite decking, Jenn-Aire cook stove/oven, and insulated windows/doors. Although the living space isn't huge, it is well planned with porch directly overlooking the creek. Directly across the road from SnowbirdLogCabin.
